Jevy was born in Seattle WA, also known as the Emerald City but has lived and been to various cities throughout his life which has contributed to his ability to develop a Hip Hop sound and style that captivates all ears. His passion for creating music began when he was just a kid as he explored the world of poetry and spoken word. Jevy’s pursuit of a career in music officially began in college where he studied Music & Performing Arts. During this time he became a member of a Hip Hop group known as The Alliance (T.A.). Their success as a group included opening up for multiple major artists, college radio play, releasing two studio albums, and recording/working with Grammy Nominated producer, artist, and writer Kevin McCall whose credits include Chris Brown’s “Deuces”& “No BS”, P.Diddy’s “Yesterday” and Justin Bieber’s “Christmas Eve”. After the members of The Alliance (T.A.) parted ways, Jevy decided to move to San Diego CA where he felt he would have access to bigger and better opportunities. This move would prove to be one of the best and most important decisions of his career.
In 2011, Jevy and 3 of his closest friends and business partners who also shared the same passion for music and business launched Take Off Movement Entertainment Group (TOMEG) which specializes primarily in artist management, marketing, and promotion. Jevy and NIX, both artists under TOMEG exploded on the scene by collaborating on two hit projects known as the Take Off Movement Mixtape series. These projects prompted TOMEG to launch what many came to know as the “iBelieve Tour 2011” which landed Jevy and the TOMEG team in a one on one meeting with Universal Music Group A&R Tunji Balogun at the Universal Music Group worldwide headquarters in Santa Monica CA, and performing live in concert with artists such as Kendrick Lamar (TDE), Wale (Maybach Music Group), and Tyga (YMCMB).
Currently Jevy and the TOMEG Management, Marketing and Promotion team are working diligently to secure a solidify national tour opportunities which will provide Jevy the stage needed to share music from his new album (scheduled to drop in the Spring of 2012) with his steady growing fan base across the country as well as internationally.
