Music Xray is seeking a highly-motivated generalist with a minimum of 5 years experience building large scale, highly-visible web applications.  Candidate must feel equally comfortable expressing technical concerns with the business development team as they do programming alongside other highly skilled engineers.  As Vice President of Engineering you will be responsible for all of Music Xray's product development activities.



Qualifications:



  • - Prior experience implementing and maintaining a consumer facing web environment
  • - Prior experience writing functional specs based on technical as well as business requirements
  • - Experience in HTML5, Javascript, CSS
  • - Conceptualize and build efficient, well-organized web applications
  • - Work on all levels of the technical stack (front-end, back-end, and sysadmin)
  • - Be familiar with trends in web design and technologies
  • - Rapidly solve problems and bugs
  • - Familiarity with relational and NoSql databases
  • - Knowledge of TDD, BDD
  • - A proven ability to learn and adapt to new, complex development environments
  • - Superb analytical skills, self directed, excellent communication skills with engineers and non-engineers, strong team ethic, and pays close attention to details
  • - Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

    Music Xray is Seeking Interns for 2013 Now!

    Our Music Tech Startup, Music Xray, is seeking smart, music centric individuals to come learn the A&R ropes with our team in TriBeCa. We're looking for fun, energetic, music minded individuals who are passionate and curious about learning the A&R process and working at a music tech start-up. The internship will involve online elements of A&R, Networking, and Music Marketing. Interns should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, be self-starters and have excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills. Interns should also be computer literate (Mac savvy and familiar with online social platforms). Being a musician, playing in a band and knowing the local music scene are big plusses. Having previously interned at a start-up is also a plus.

    You will be working closely with the business development team and therefore getting a more hands on and interactive experience. As an intern, you will see how MusicXray manages a large community of musicians and deals with user issues as well as facilitating dealings and relationships between musicians and industry professionals.

    Must be currently enrolled in a College or University (recent grads also accepted)
