Rat-Pack styled romantic tune about getting away from it all. Originally written for the 2011 ABC television series PanAm, the lyrics were more "vacation/holiday" based rather than romanticizing the glitz of the city. Changing the lyrical mode of transportation from aircraft to cruise ship allowed the listener to be enveloped into total relaxation. Rather than the concept of (the Beach Boys lyrics in Kokomo) "We'll get there fast, and then we'll take it slow", the idea is to "Take it slow" even while getting there! This can be the theme song for the cruise industry. Enjoy and relax!

Lyrics

Tropical Hideaway
Bruce Bergh

Baby, let’s sail away
To a far off, tropical hideaway
Where gentle trade winds softly blow
And coconut palm trees bend and sway
Come with me,
I promise you a real good time
I’ll wipe away big city thinking from your mind
Sunsets in the sand
Walking barefoot, hand in hand
Trade away the rat race for a gorgeous wonderland

Come with me
To the sea,
We will be set free

Instrumental solos

Come with me
To the sea,
We will be set free

Let’s trade city lights
For sun drenched days and moonlit nights
Where everything that we partake
Will satisfy our appetites
Sail with me into a land that’s paradise
Let your spirit be renewed, take my advice
Dare to move a head
Shoes to lose and clothes to shed
Where the only fashion statement’s hanging by a thread

Come with me
To the sea,
We will be set free
