Lyrics

Goodbye, Farewell and So Long
By Bruce Bergh

I thought it was a good life, you and me
At least as far as I could ever see
Then, there was a change inside your heart
That’s when all the trouble seemed to start
I don’t know when it was you lost respect
It’s something, some day, that you will regret
Then you came and cut me like a knife
The day that you pushed me from your life

Once you completed me, But, you never acted like you needed me
As I look back through my tears at all of the years gone wrong
I gave my best to you, You played me like a fool
You know that you’ve done me wrong. Goodbye, farewell and so long.

Every day I have to bear the scar
Of how you cut a hole in my heart
Twisting all my words to suit your needs
You play the role of “martyre” to a tee
Manipulation is your favorite game
Takin’ way my children with your blame
Many are the days you’ll walk alone
Destined to survive out on your own

Once you completed me, But, you never acted like you needed me
As I look back through my tears at all of the years gone wrong
I gave my best to you, You played me like a fool
You know that you’ve done me wrong. Goodbye, farewell and so long.

Instrumental Bridge

Once you completed me, But, you never acted like you needed me
As I look back through my tears at all of the years gone wrong
I gave my best to you, You played me like a fool
You know that you’ve done me wrong. Goodbye, farewell and so long.
Goodbye, farewell and so long. Goodbye, farewell and so long.
