Written for Beth, who eventually became my wife, while I was in Alaska for three months in 2008. I had only met her once, but fell in love through hours of conversations over the time I was gone. I had yet to kiss her at the time! Submitted to Taxi from these instructions:

Lyrics

Shining Through
by Bruce Bergh

Outside the rain is falling
No sign of skys of blue
Happiness was just a memory
'Til you came shining through.

Inside my heart was longing
For love complete and true
An empty shell in human form
'Til you came shining through.

Your words have soothed my spirit
Your touch has filled my soul
Your kisses brought me pleasure
Your love has made me whole

God bless my new found treasure
A love that's fresh and new
On you I can depend, my eternal friend
Thank you for shining through.
