About the artist

"Born into humble upbringings in the town of Pineville, Louisiana, Dezmond Meeks discovered music as an innate ability at an early age, delivering his first solo performance at age three. By age seven, he was a well-known child prodigy in the southern region of the U.S., performing for mass audiences ranging from political rallies to church/religious events on the international level. After high school, Dezmond enrolled at Northwestern State University as an acting major, minoring in dance, but dropped out before completing three years of study to compete in the fourth season of FOX's American Idol... Years later he would become the only person to ever compete on both American Idol and NBC's America's Got Talent (2011) placing in the quarter finals of the two biggest reality competition shows in history.

Championed and respected by industry personalities as Mariah Carey, Piers Morgan, Sharon Osborne, Mya, Mick Jagger, Stevie J, Paula Abdul & Sebastian Bach there is no doubt that with his astounding 5-octave vocal range and show stoping footwork, Dezmond Meeks is one of those performers who only come around once in a generation.
Taking performance dates across the country over the last 8 years in the legendary venues from New York to LA, and many spots in between, Dezmond constantly created new opportunities to make himself a well-rounded chameleon in the entertainment industry. Most recently, Dezmond released the followup to his debut "Music Is My Sanity" with the 5 song R&B/Soul EP entitled "The Prince Of Soul" on 11.1.11 to iTunes, CDBaby and over 2,500 stores & online retailers."
