About the artist

With their latest EP “Getting By But Only Just” winning the song of the week on THE BEST OF MYSPACE CHART as voted for by listeners and getting loads of plays on myspace,
The Beautiful Game is certainly not your average band.

The Beautiful Game (formerly Running Riots) is a North London five piece hailing from the Camden area. The band has been around in one form or another since 2005 but it was the start of 2009 that saw the birth of The Beautiful Game.
The band’s influences include The Jam, New York Dolls, The Clash, The Pixies, and more recently The Maccabees and Maximo Park.

This year has seen The Beautiful Game playing headline gigs in the London area, including venues such as Café De Paris, Carling Academy, The Barfly, Underworld, and Dublin Castle.
With melodic guitars, keyboards, piano and a tight rhythm section combined with powerful vocals, their music is well received by both fans and press alike.

They have recently recorded an EP at a top studio in London where Florence and the Machine, Temper Trap, The Editors and other great artists have recorded their Albums.

One of the songs from their EP “Getting By But Only Just” have been featured on THE BEST OF MYSPACE Chart and won the song of the week as voted for by listeners and got a great review from Gill Mills (NME, BBC Radio and Compere at Leeds Festival) It is also getting loads of plays on myspace since it went live less than 2 months ago.
It is now available on Itunes worldwide, HMV, Amazon and Spotify.
