About the artist
HORSEMAN SHAKES AND THE DRAYMEN…began life as acoustic duo “Horseman Shakes” in the summer of 2007 founded by Alex Small (Vocals) and Rob Muir (Lead Guitar), the original name being derived from their own nicknames at the time.
After playing several gigs as just Horseman Shakes the two musicians quickly realised they wanted to rock a lot harder, so in late 2007 they recruited the talents of ‘Draymen’ Dom Notarangelo (Rhythm Guitar), Olie Campbell (Bass Guitar) and Dan Jack (Drums). While all members had previous success in other bands, it was in Horseman Shakes And The Draymen that their true passions and musical prowess could jell to create the energy-fueled, levi-stretching, bar brawling live shows they are now infamous for.
In a short space of time they soon became established across the Home Counties and are now focused on climbing the industry gig ladder in rocking London. With lead singer Alex Small being dubbed as a vocal cross between Elvis and Jim Morrison, the heavy but melodic music of H.S.A.T.D has been described in the past as resembling 'Pearl Jam being molested by Led Zeppelin'…Ouch!
Following the popularity of their debut E.P. in 2008, the band released a second in July 2010. Highlighted tracks from both are now available to download FREE via http://hsatd.official.fm

“This band are far too good not to be signed, it is literally an outrage. Vital and cool, they are everything that new music should be.” Hayley O’Keeffe, 2010 - Bedfordshire Times & Citizen
“HSATD mix a traditional approach to rock music with a renovated energy in lyrics and mad solos by Rob’s magic hands. It is clear that the musical heritage flowing in the veins of the band ranges from the first Led Zeppelin to the dusty Californian grunge of Stone Temple Pilots.” Lorenzo Coretti, 2010 – AAA Music
