About the artist

Ragon Linde is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and recording artist based in Portland, Ore. Ragon has played in a wide range of musical groups but has been focused more on solo singer-songwriter performance for past several years in Portland performing at the Alberta Rose Theater, The Analog Cafe, Mississippi Pizza, The Jade Lounge, The Liquor Store, Cask N' Keg, Tonic Lounge, and Vox Academy. During the summer of 2016 Ragon opened for national recording and touring artists Sherwood and Fialta.

His double-CD debut album released in 2011, “Both Sides of the Story”, is available for digital download on iTunes, Amazon.com, and CD Baby and is available in hard copy at Millennium Music in Portland, Ore.

Ragon's sophomore album, "Under the Covers", was released in 2015. The theme of this record is Longing for Meaningful Connection with Others, one that resonates with many.

Following the release of Covers, Ragon shared these songs and songs from Story with many people in several different performance settings. The release process culminated with two late fall concerts which were recorded and presented in the live album, "With Babies and Dogs", in recognition to the loving and intimate surroundings that fans and friends provided in the presentation of these pieces.

The most recent release from Ragon Linde, “Transitions”, is an acoustic 8 song EP of Covers and Originals highlighting several pop styles.

In 2008, Ragon was a performing member and musical director of the “Moonlit Guttery Poetry Team” which staged performances “Love Outlives Us”, “Chasing the Sun Over the Horizon”, “Raining Back Up”, and “Time and Absence”. In 2012 Ragon co-produced and performed in a Percussion/Narrative performance called “Only Ghosts” and in 2014 was the Music Director for “Unsung Heroes”. Ragon is also the founder and leader of the Portland Eclectic Music Society.

Ragon is a performing member of the Vox Academy Healing Voices Choir in Portland and is an Executive Officer for the Vox Board of Directors.

Lyrics

Words like violence

Break the silence

Come crashing in

Into my little world

Painful to me

Pierce right through me

Can't you understand

Oh my little girl

All I ever wanted, all I ever needed

Is here in my arms

Words are very unnecessary

They can only do harm

Vows are spoken

To be broken

Feelings are intense

Words are trivial

Pleasures remain

So does the pain

Words are meaningless

And forgettable

All I ever wanted, all I ever needed

Is here in my arms

Words are very unnecessary

They can only do harm
