John Gaenzler (pronounced genzler) has been writing and performing radio-rock/pop music since he was in college in Upstate New York in the mid-90s. Since then, John has released 5 CDs with 3 bands, toured the states extensively and has written hundreds of songs. In 1998, John was asked to audition for Foo Fighters and narrowly missed becoming their lead guitar player. John’s bands have shared the stage with many of today’s top rock acts and his songs have been featured on major cable TV shows and in many national advertising campaigns. John now lives in New York City and spends his time writing, recording and producing as well as doing session vocal work. He recently released an EP called OneofOne, which is available through ITunes and Amazon exclusively digital. John will be putting together a new band project later in 2011.
Lyrics
Dimmer
I’m talking through a melody Because hearing you’s a mystery But if you could send a smile my way Then I’ll survive another day
And hold on Cause the sun still keeps me here somehow And I suppose That if all I get is love from you And you feel it too now Then we’ll hold on tight Til things get dimmer…
If I’m falling down and growing old And all my lines are running cold Well if you could send a look my way Then I’ll survive another day
And Hold on…
With you here beside me, I know That I could fall down And I will be fine With you here beside me I know That I could fall down And I will stay around
When I’m broken down and losing touch And nothing seems to mean as much Well if you could send a smile my way Then I’ll survive another day
