Burnos hits the radio airwaves and digital stores with yet another heavy-hitting single, entitled Slip Away on September 8, 2015!
Burnos made their debut on Sirius XM's Octane radio station with their first three singles Octane, WarShip, and Syndrome of Decay. WarShip was showcased as a Sirius XM "Octane Accelerator," and lead vocalist, Melissa Burnos, was prominently featured on Sirius XM Octane’s "Women Who Rock Week" in February 2014. As a result of SXM Octane listener votes, WarShip rocketed to a spot on SXM Octane’s "TOP 15 BIG UNS COUNTDOWN" in May of 2014. Empowered by a strong, organic, grassroots fan demand, the independent rock band unleashed Syndrome of Decay to an eagerly awaiting, ever-growing fan base. With Syndrome of Decay, Burnos dominated the #1 spot for four consecutive weeks on Adrenaline 101 Radio’s “Top 10 Countdown!”
The female-fronted hard rock band is a collaboration of some of modern hard rock’s most seasoned musicians. With her dynamic vocals ranging from brash and powerful to sultry, Melissa Burnos teamed up with guitarist Eric Friedman (Tremonti, Creed) and drummer Garrett Whitlock (Tremonti) to form Burnos. They’ve conjured a riveting brand of hard rock combining poignant and provocative lyrics, soaring vocals, screaming prolific guitars, rich textures, and heavy, hard-hitting drumbeats. Produced by Michael “Elvis” Baskette (Alter Bridge, Slash, Chevelle, Incubus), the band’s forthcoming release is poised to impact the modern hard rock genre.
Burnos’ music is showcased on Sirius XM Satellite radio, North Dakota’s Rock 101 FM, and other terrestrial and Internet rock radio stations primarily due to fervent fan requests. The band’s music has even garnered the attention of MLB Texas Ranger, Chris Gimenez, as he has Burnos songs broadcasted at stadiums for his “walk-up” during MLB games.
