Album Notes: The Ian Black Band is a mix of rock, blues, and folk with a no-boundaries approach to the music. From driving rock to laid back introspective ballads, the debut album takes the listener on a musical journey of life, hope, and dreams. Every track brings out the musical soul of IBB from the haunting open "400 Lonely Roads" to the title track "Take the Wheel". Heavily influenced by Rush, Styx, Eric Clapton, Celtic music, and so many other styles, IBB does not fall into any particular genre. The Ian Black Band is "just good music".
If you unwind Open your mind’s eye Nobody knows Where you go Fly in my head Coat the town red Use telepathy To harness your energy
Take me for a ride Show me what you hide Cuz only we’ll know How far we’ll go No roads lead back Once you're on my map Soon you will find Your past is left behind
Meet me tonight In my transcendental dream Sinful persuasion Subliminal intoxication Meet me tonight In my transcendental dream
Crawl in my thoughts Let me harness what you’ve got Bare your soul Let me take control Fire your wings Be ready for anything Soon you will see How lucid we can be
Meet me tonight In my transcendental dream Sinful persuasion Subliminal intoxication Meet me tonight In my transcendental dream
If we unwind Open our mind’s eye Nobody knows Where we’ll go No roads lead back Once we’re on a track Soon we will find The thoughts we have in mind
Meet me tonight In my transcendental dream Sinful persuasion Subliminal intoxication Meet me tonight In my transcendental dream
