“Because I Dreamed You”, a recent finalist in the Great American Song Contest, was in the top 3 position at www.ilike.com for over 5 months and in number 1 position for over 3 weeks. “Because I Dreamed You”, written as a love song to my fiancé who was sick and died 2 days after the song was finished, is a romantic, haunting, magical and mystical fairy tale of a song about the power of dreams - a song that takes you away to a faraway place to a land of dreams and sweetness. The sparsity of the arrangement of upright bass, muted trumpet, and piano with the airiness and sensuality of the vocals make this song absolutely hypnotic and emotionally powerful and captured the bittersweet sensitivity of the emotions behind the song.
