A Los Angeles native, Gabi Kochlani has been deep in the music scene for years in A&R, music publishing and music management.
A Los Angeles native, Gabi Kochlani began in the A&R department at Elektra Records working with artists such as Bjork, Missy Elliott and Third Eye Blind. Following Elektra, she worked at several top music management companies including SMB Management with platinum rock band Goldfinger, Izzy Stradlin of Guns N Roses followed by Management Network handling day-to-day for Crosby, Stills & Nash. She then branched out with her own management and consulting company, GK Entertainment, representing multi-platinum producer/mixer/engineer Tone (Green Day, Santana) and singer/songwriter Lindsey Ray (Demi Lovato, Tiesto) & working with Miley Cyrus & The Cheetah Girls for Disney Concerts. With the success of her own company, Gabi was offered a position with Adam Anders', Executive Music Producer for hit TV show GLEE, as A&R for his publishing company and record label. She spent the following few years signing & developing talent, which then lead to her position as A&R for EMI Music Publishing. At EMI, Gabi signed multi-platinum songwriter/producer Mikal Blue (Colbie Caillat, Jason Mraz) and managed 20 EMI songwriters. EMI was sold to Sony/ATV and Gabi was hired as Creative Director for Bump Into Genius Music-Warner/Chappell, to spearhead creative and cultivate the roster of successful songwriters such as Ben Burgess (Martin Garrix, Keith Urban), Zac Poor (Tori Kelly, Kelly Clarkson), Stephen Rezza (Christina Grimmie, Sanjoy), Aloma Steele (Blasterjaxx, Daijo). Gabi has recently joined Speakereasy Music as Vice President of A&R, a management & boutique music publishing company with a worldwide admin partnership with Kobalt Music, co-owned by multi-platinum songwriter Sheppard Solomon (Enrique Iglesias, One Direction). The roster includes Rajan 'Arjay' Khanijaon (Dash Berlin, Madison Mars), John Dang (Mike Williams, Madison Mars), up & coming songwriter/artist Miranda Glory, and producer/DJ/artist Noah Neiman (Tritonal, Chainsmokers).
