Founder of the #1 ranked music and talk show, “The Great Unknowns Presents” and “All Indie Magazine” Mikey Jayy started out as a NASCAR sports writer for World Voice News, a self-improvement writer, and food & wine critic. One day, he saw an opportunity to start his own radio show and decided to take a leap.
In March of 2009, he launched “The Great Unknowns Presents,” a radio show that has evolved from a local college music podcast into an industry gateway for independent artists to gain exposure in a new media platform. With the use of world wide marketing and advertising campaigns to draw global attention, “The Great Unknowns Presents” has become a premier alternative to the mainstream for new music seekers.
Jayy has a major in broadcasting, journalism, and music business, and has positioned himself not only as a radio personality but also as a industry icon for discovering the best new talent in the Indie music industry.
The Artists In Music Awards, Jayy’s most recent venture, was created to honor and recognize the best independent music artists from around the world in multiple categories. On February 10, 2012, history was made with the first annual Artists In Music Awards celebration held at the world famous Key Club in Hollywood, CA and it was a resounding success with a turn out of over 1,500.
