Scott Eric McLaughlin, better known as ScottEMac is the visionary behind Independent Muzik Movement, and Grindhouse Label. Motivated by providing a platform to independent artists of all genres, his love of music, and his love of his children, he pushes himself to never give up, and pursue a mission and vision destined for him to fulfill. There is more than just drive inside the mastermind of Independent Muzik Movement. He is the nephew of the late Ollie McLaughlin, a well known record producer/DJ in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Ollie produced some of the smoothest, slickest, soul records to come out of the city’s recording studios during the prolific Motown era. A lot of people believe Scott is following in those very large footsteps left from his uncleIndependent Muzik Movement is a platform for independent artists to be heard, as well as giving exposure for the artists who probably wouldn’t be able to be seen or heard otherwise. With 4000 listeners monthly worldwide, Independent Muzik Movement gives free exposure to artists of all genres with the listeners grown daily. Scott’s vision for Independent Muzik Movement is for it to become a syndicated air and eventually talk show giving individuals the opportunity to showcase their music on much larger arenas and platforms. His vision also includes Grindhouse, which is his own label that will one day produce the independent artists as well.
