Tim Reis has been writing music for decades, but only recently has the time to really pay attention to it. His songs show the influence of the folk/country/pop/rock sound that came out of LA in the '60s and '70s.
Lyrics
This is called life This is what you do This is how the days go by, it should not bother you And though night may fall in the end of it There’s nothing you should fear (‘cause) This is called life Let it whisper in your ear
Alarm clock barks, “Good morning!” Throw your feet toward the floor Guzzle down some coffee And you’re headed out the door Where you meet a million others Who are doing much the same And all the time inside your head You’re singing this refrain
chorus
Out upon the ocean There's a guy from out of town He's tied up to the bowsprit And his ship is going down As his crew abandons stations Captive to the sirens' song He smiles to think of this old tune And starts to sing along
chorus
Every day we struggle To be good and brave and strong To fill up every hour And be more often right than wrong We fall short of our ambitions We exceed our wildest dreams And it’s okay if in the end We don’t know what it means
