Written 6/12/14 for Taxi A&R per these requirements: 1950s sounding RHYTHM AND BLUES SONGS with MALE or FEMALE VOCALS are needed by Top-Tier Music Library with a massive list of High-End Film and TV placements. They want Mid-to-Up-Tempo Songs that fit in the stylistic ballpark of the amazing Fats Domino, Faye Adams, Little Richard, etc. Give them energetic Songs that have the flair and pizzazz of the era. You instrumentation needs to be similar to the referenced artists. Lyrics about love, dance, celebration, etc., are all great themes that could work for this pitch. Please be sure your lyrics are universal, and avoid specific names, places, dates, times, brands, etc. Do not copy or rip off the referenced artists in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, texture, and tone. This company offers a NON-EXCLUSIVE, 50/50 deal. You must own or control 100% of your Master and Copyright to pitch for this. Broadcast quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine). Your recordings can be recent, and do NOT have to be done in the time period. Please submit one to three Songs online or per CD, include lyrics. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis - No full critiques. Submissions must be received no later than Thursday, June 12, 2014. TAXI #Y140612RB

Lyrics

Oh, You Little Thing
By Bruce Bergh

Oh, you little thing
The way you dance & swing
Makes me jump, makes me sing,
The way you move your thing!
Hoppin’ and a boppin’ with your pony tail
You’re my true-life fairytale!
Oh, you little thing
The way you dance, the way you swing
Makes me jump and sing
The way you move, move your thing!
Fleetin’ and a flyin’ like a honey bee
You’re the one for me, the one for me

My band was playing at the dance,
Then, all at once I caught your glance
You smiled at me and winked your eye
Baby, this is my reply...

Oh, you little thing,
The way you dance the way you swing
Makes me jump, makes me sing,
The way you move, move your thing!
Hoppin’ and a boppin’ with your pony tail
You’re my true-life fairytale!
Oh, you little thing,
The way you dance, the way you swing
Makes me jump and makes me sing,
The way you move your thing!
Fleetin’ and a flyin’ like a honey bee
You’re the one for me

Instumental

Shake it baby, shake shake shake
Let the music overtake
All your senses as you swing
Let me see you move your thing!

Oh, you little thing,
The way you jive, the way you swing
Makes me happy, makes me sing,
The way you move, move your thing!
Hoppin’ and a boppin’ all night long
Dancin’ to my song

Oh, you little little thing,
Move your thing for me
Let me see you shake shake shake
Let me see your body quake
You can bop like nobody
You’re the one for me

Oh, you little thing,
The way you dance, the way you swing
Makes me jump, makes me sing,
The way you move, move your thing!
Hoppin’ and a boppin’ with your pony tail
You’re my true-life fairytale!
You can dance like nobody
You’re the one for me
