Lyrics
Boys Will Be Boys by Bruce Bergh
There’s nothing like the soft, sweet, gentle touch of a woman To satisfy the natural desires of a man A overflowing life of joy she’ll bring him A partnership designed since the world began
In her heart she’ll carry love and passion In her womb she’ll bare for him a child Their deep connection soon becomes a family A unity that cannot be reviled
But, you tell me, that you were born With your design based on a different plan Instead of female companionship You choose to live your life at the side of a man
You’ve always marched along to a different drummer An independent viewpoint all your life Though women wish that they could love and have you You choose instead to make a man your wife.
Boys will be boys, but some boys, not so much Straying from a natural way of life I can’t stand to see you hurt From sexist slurs that cut just like a knife
It’s your life, and I’m not here to judge you I truly want to know, and understand Why you're forfeiting the chance of your own children And tender love and life with a woman
Are you happy, not just gay With alternative choices that you’ve made? Or are you just trying to shock And justify the actions of your ways?
Boys will be boys, but some boys, not so much Straying from the natural human plan Just one life. That’s all you have. I truly hope you’re happy with your man Some day maybe I will understand Be well son, and good luck with your plan
