Sherah is an Austinite with Northern California roots. She’s been writing her own songs for many years, but has been covering other artists… until now. Sherah began her foray into the music scene in March of 2011. Accompanied by a trio of acoustic guitar, percussion and bass, and backed up by groovy background vocals, Sherah’s warm, soulful voice, imaginative lyrics and completely original style is easy to listen to and speaks to the heart. For the last two years, she and her band, The Fine Souls, have been performing her original songs in music venues all around Austin, TX. She has been working hard at developing her band, cultivating a following, and gaining broader exposure for her music.
Sherah is a prolific songwriter and has a repertoire of more than 30 songs that are characterized by her signature blend of pop, folk, R&B, and vocal jazz ballads. Demonstrating her ability to compose a wide range of styles, she succeeds in stimulating the listener’s imagination and emotions, leaving with them a memorable hook. She self-produced an EP called “Wish” in 2003 and an EP called “The Deep End,” In October 2012, Sherah co-produced and released her first full-length album, “A Thousand Oceans.”
