Linda has been involved in the music industry her entire life. Sounds of Memphis began in 1962 by her father,
Eugene Lucchesi, Sr. One of the biggest hits they recorded was "Wooly Bully" in 1965. The song became a #1
hit worldwide and sold over 1,000,000 copies!
Linda began as a commercial photographer before turning her lens to the fine arts. After extensive travels in the
West and Canada, her passion for capturing the land
scape and vast nature was heightened. She lived in
a cabin nestled in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, from '71 to '77 and owned Studio 7, located in Port Angeles, WA
from the late 70s to early 80s.
Linda returned to Memphis and became an integral part of Simply Grand Music, Inc in 1982. Through hard work and perseverance, the song "Wooly Bully" was revived and licensed in hundreds of television shows, movies, commercials and albums. Using her love of photography and creative mind, Linda had an animation deal in the works with Hyperion to distribute a cartoon, toys, books, and other novelties using the characters from “Wooly Bully”.
Linda was called back to the music industry after a brief retirement when several new opportunities presented themselves. She started two music labels, Simply Grand Music, Inc. and Memphis Town Music.
Linda is, and has been for over 20 years, a voting
member of NARAS and the CMA Awards. Linda is a member
of the NMPA, NSAI, and A2IM.
