Scott Wilburn is an artist and musician living in Sandpoint Idaho. Born in the fifties, having come of age during the turbulent sixties, and grown to adulthood in the seventies, began recording in the eighties, produced his first CDs in the nineties, and still writing and recording into the new millennium, his song writing reflects a wide variety of influences, with bits of electric blues, piano ballads, acoustic songs, heavy metal riffs, synth pop, and country rock jams all rolled into an improbable mix that defies most attempts at catagorization. A veritable one-man band, Scott writes the music & lyrics and plays most of the instruments on most of his songs, with cameo appearances by his many talented friends. His goal is that "no two songs sound alike".
I'm workin' real hard, tryin' to make a livin' Workin' both night and day I'm pushin' real hard, you know I'm really driven But I just can't seem to make it pay
If I could make a buck, it'd be a piece o'luck But it just keeps gettin' harder every day
I'm gettin' pretty tired, I'm feelin' kind o'wired from these 16 hour days I'm pushin' to the limit, won't last another minute I'm losin' sleep...I'm in too deep
Another day at work, I'm dealin' with a jerk He's twisting every word I say I tried my best to help him, but nothing's gonna please him I just wish he'd get a life and go away
I don't get paid enough to take this kind of guff And it just keeps gettin' harder every day
Another night at home, got some salesman on the phone And he just won't give it up and let me be My car's broken down, and the bills are comin' round No solution to my problems I can see
Something's gotta give, this ain't no way to live And it just keeps gettin' harder every day
Another Dawn, Another day After another sleepless night I grab a cup o' joe, before it's time to go And then I jump back in the fight
If I could make a buck, it'd be a piece o'luck But it just keeps gettin' harder every day
