t.Roy is the alter-ego songwriting outlet of Recording artist Ted Pearce, who is known for writing Jewish "church music" and formerly on a Sony/BMG label for 8 years. He has produced 16 CD projects since 1998, and currently producing another 60+ songs in his home studio built during time off in the pandemic.
The Smoking Section are musicians that t.Roy jams and records with in the Asheville NC area, all of them in 4 or 5 bands at the same time. Tourism is so strong here that musicians don't have to leave town.
As an artist, t.Roy leans towards blues-rock yet as a songwriter he writes in several other genres like folk, soul, pop, jazz, appalachian, bluegrass, even country.
With more than 20 years of touring as a recording artist, he knows the ropes better than most and is in the small percentage of indie singer/songwriters who make a living at it.
