We are looking to add several new songs to our catalog to pitch to many upcoming sync opportunities. These songs will be co-published by our company, so you must control all of your portion of the publishing at this point. We will not be able to accept songs that are currently in another publishing deal. If selected, you will be asked to sign a single song publishing agreement, and that song will be in an exclusive deal for the term of the agreement.

Songs must be in the genres of CURRENT sounding Pop, Hip-Hop or R&B. If you are unsure what is meant by that, please research the Billboard Charts and Spotify new music charts for references.

Monetary compensation is marked as $0 on this pitch, but the potential for future earnings are great, since the songs will be continuously pitched to multiple opportunities.

Label/Publisher is seeking songs for release, publishing, sync placement opportunities, and promotion. We have a proven record of placing songs with major networks and brands such as FOX, ABC, Roxy, Forever 21, Specialized, etc.

We are specifically seeking music from artists that have a timeless sound. The overall vibe of the label is one of honest music with warm vintage emotion. We are looking for Singer-Songwriter, Folk, Americana, Alt. Country that evokes emotion. We lean toward a more melancholy sound so please no “fun” or overly “happy” songs. At the moment we are only seeking single songs. By focusing on singles we can target specific markets when promoting and seeking sync placements. Why the higher than average submission fee?
Often we hear music that doesn’t make the final cut for a particular opportunity but we go ahead and select the song anyway because we believe the song is appropriate for other opportunities we’re working on. Here at Music of The Sea, we fill dozens of sync requests every week. We don’t have time to listen to everything so the higher submission fee tends to discourage all but the best - and we sign a lot of music and we place almost all of it.

We only offer one deal and the terms are the same for everyone, so don’t submit if you’re seeking another type of deal. If we select your song, you give us exclusive rights to the song for 3 years. If after three years we haven’t licensed your song, the rights revert back to you. If we do license your song, we share in the revenue. Often, if we love the song we hear and want to work with you we will also have interest in hearing other songs in your catalog and possibly doing a broader deal.
