MAJOR ADVERTISING AGENCY is U-R-G-E-N-T-L-Y looking for a HOLIDAY-NUANCED SONG with VOCALS for a leading baked goods company. Think warm and fuzzy but also CONTEMPORARY, UNIQUE, SIMPLE and STRAIGHT-FORWARD. MALE and FEMALE VOCALS are BOTH OK. Your song should NOT be overtly Holiday-ish, but it SHOULD be UPLIFTING and PLAYFUL IN SPIRIT. There is no specific genre referenced so long as the song is Modern, Contemporary Sounding, Fitting for the Season, Family-Oriented and Melodically Driven. Our best guess is songs that could range from INDIE POP, INDIE FOLK, to BARBERSHOP, SOUL and even BLUESY JAZZ. We doubt that Country, Hip Hop or Techno would be suitable!   Footage concerns a historical timeline of baking in the kitchen, so strive for a touch of nostalgia while maintaining a contemporary feel overall. Tricky, we know! Lyrics should be short and sweet, straight-forward, inviting, and revolve around "HOME," "MADE EASY," and "EASY." A simple refrain will work; don't get too dense. Keep your songs intriguing, yet instantly accessible; they must register right away, NO long intros. Length should be at least :30; full-length songs also OK. The Agency does NOT want this to sound like it was a "jingle" created for the spot. They want it to sound like it's an actual song from a REAL ARTIST. Faded endings are OK. We have no info on compensation, but this is an ad for a major industry leader and we suspect pay will be nothing to sneeze at. There WILL be a Publisher Split on this. Broadcast Quality is needed (excellent home recordings are fine). You must own or control 100% of the Master and Composition rights. Please submit 1 to 3 songs ONLINE ONLY due to the deadline hitting on the Holiday weekend; include lyrics, PLEASE! All submissions will be screened PERSONALLY by the PUBLISHER on a YES/NO basis. No critiques from TAXI. This is a GREAT opportunity to get your music heard by a VERY hands-on decision-maker! All submissions must be received no later than SUNDAY, September 4th, 2011 at 6am (PDT).   TAXI# Y110904HO

Lyrics

Great To Be Back (Mom's in the Kitchen)
by Bruce Bergh

Mom's in the kitchen baking holiday treats
Humming melodies grandmother sang
The smells bring back memories of simpler times
It's great to be back with the old gang!??

Great to be back
Great to be loved
Great to be all together
Sharing our lives
Sharing a meal
Sharing our time together

Dad's by the back shed gathering wood
For a fire to help keep us warm
Gramps' entertaining all of the kids
With stories brought home from the war

Great to be back
Great to be loved
Great to be all together
Sharing our lives
Sharing a meal
Sharing our time together

I pause and give thanks for this moment in time
I want to preserve it forever
For family, for friends, for love that transcends
It's great to be back all together

Great to be back
Great to be loved
Great to be all together
Sharing our lives
Sharing a meal
Sharing our time together
