About the artist

Dimitris Kritikos ( DJ MCD ) was born in Athens in 1973.
In 1992 he meets Michalis Mitakidis and they start the first hip-hop band in Greece, ACTIVE MEMBER, one of the most famous, at the time, bands in Greece.He also appeared as a d.j. on records of other big hip-hop names in Greece as: Goin'Through , FF.C. e.t.c.
In 1995 after many live acts, he leaves the band and starts composing his own music.
In 2003 he meets Vassilis Zafiridis and they decide to make a new project called NEVERLAND. Their album gets released in 2004, called Dreams, and its all lounge music with chill out, trip-hop tracks. He have also made remixes for
NATURAL SELECTION and JOSE NUNEZ - Bilingual ( Subliminal Records )
and his songs can be found on many compilations.
He is also a producer of INFLUENCE, FUNKYTEARS ,
ARTEMIS / EFTHIMIS , WHITE DRAGON.
In 2008 After attracting major attention in the Coca-Cola Soundwave festival in Greece, DJ MCD, the mind behind a dog named Rodriguez , presents a downtempo and soulful LP, including the big radio hit Every Day Is A Brand New Day and more brand new tracks.

The album '' a dog named Rodriguez a.k.a DJ MCD - Every Day is a Brand New Day '' is considered one of the best projects in Greece for the year 2007.
