Imagine Johnny Cash singing a rocking blues song and that’s what Whiskey & Women sounds like to me. Based on my younger wilder days, this is my first song to be selected on X-ray by an MIP. It was was selected for the Douglas Coleman Show. A very different version was released on 13th Caller’s debut album.

About the artist

Just a guy who writes songs for fun and picks guitar and sings on the back porch. It would be cool to get some of my songs recorded by serious performers. I'm affiliated with BMI.

Lyrics

Chorus:
Well, I spent all my money on whiskey and women
Whiskey and women all my life
Lord, I spent all my money on whiskey and women
Can't take it with you when you die

Verse1:
My mama raised me in a God fearing home
But I went crazy and started to roam
And raise hell, The Devil sure had my number
Lucky I ain't dead or in jail (2X)

Chorus: repeat

Verse2:
Well, I love Jesus and I hope he don't mind
If I party with some good old friends of mine
And raise hell, The devil's still got my number
Lucky I ain't dead or in jail (2X)

Bridge:
Rack it up and break it
Set it up and drink it
All the ladies shake it
We're here to party

Chorus: repeat
