My Name is Theo Starr, which is what I use as a composer, my stage name is Theo Starr aka The Technician when I play live.
Consider myself more of a Musician/Songwriter – Producer/Songwriter than a Singer/Songwriter.
But Predominately, a Writer first, a Musician second, a Producer third and an Artist fourth. But that all changes for convenience and when it is convenient depending on circumstances.
At the moment self-publishing and self-producing and trying to expand from that platform by obtaining licensing deals for soundtracks and/or have other artists perform and record my material. Distributions of my Material can be found on iTunes, Google Play and Amazon.
I do play live, and have had lead my own band, but at present playing my material acoustically while filling in for other bands.
My material is totally and utterly 100% mine, produced and composed and I have a catalogue of almost 200 compositions of which only a percentage would be for public consumption which, at the moment is totaling 40 and heading up as I write more, while I challenge myself to be consistent using that one breaking composition as a spring board.
I have my own Studio Set Up. Pro Tools is my software of choice and I can supply tracks as audio, with or without vocals with any desired mix. I play Guitar and Bass on my tracks, I do program a Drum Machine (Superior Drummer) which is a plug in within Pro Tools and when I need a synth or a keyboard, I have a guitar synth or I can program the sound within the Pro Tools plug ins or with other tools at my disposal.
I consider my genre to be, Progressive Rock – Adult Contemporary Alternative but will challenge myself to write in other genres to obtain recognition. Especially that sub-genre referred to as Blaxploitation.
