Barcelona, 20 May 1971. Quique produced his first musical montages in 1982, by cutting cassette tape up and splicing it together again. At the age of 14, he found a job at a local radio station with a programme about popular Catalan culture, which he combined with piano and voice studies. This early taste of radio allowed him to take his “mixes” and “megamixes” further.
At 16 years, he recorded “Indiana”, his first “megamix”, and was hired as an announcer by Radio Minuto, where he began to focus on programmes specialising in “dance” music. Quique went on to present “Ponte a Top” on Cadena Top, which became one of the most successful radio shows in the country. It aired for five years. In 1990 he began working with some of the major dance labels, including “Metropol Records”, “Blanco y Negro”, “Sony Music”, “Max Music”, “Universal Music” and Vale Music, which continuing his work as an announcer on various radio stations around Spain.
His biggest hits as a megamix DJ include “Bolero Mix”, “Blanco y Negro Mix”, “Funky Mix”, “Demolition Mix”, “Ibiza Mix”, “Caribe Mix”, “Máquina Total”, “Dream Team”, “Todo Éxitos”, “Disco Estrella”, “Technics” and “Max Mix”, which together have sold more than five million copies.
This success secured his position as a leading DJ and producers, performing in clubs all over the world, including London, Madrid, Milan, New York, Düsseldorf, Berlin, Paris, Ibiza, Toulouse, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca...

Tejada also spent a truly unforgettable ten years as Artistic Director at Vale Music / Universal Music.
He was in charge of the musical production and co-ordination of the first five series of TV talent show “Operación Triunfo”, as well as sitting on the programme’s jury panel on various occasions. Quique’s dedication and commitment to the creative, artistic and musical aspects of this unprecedented social phenomenon was rewarded by the spectacular achievement of sales of more than 15 million CDs from all the series of the show and the artists that have taken part.
During his time at Vale Music he also oversaw song choices and production styles of artists including David Bisbal, Rosario, Bustamante, Paulina Rubio, Shayla Durcal, La Unión, Chenoa, Rosa, La Guardia, Soraya, David Civera, Manuel Carrasco, María Isabel, Ainhoa Arteta and Merche, among many others.
Quique has also been involved with and produced numerous compilations for various popular TV programmes, including Crónicas Marcianas, Gran Hermano, Fama, El Hormiguero...
He now joins the prestigious publishing company Leiber Music to develop a new publishing division called Goal Songs. Quique Tejada heads this new company, focusing mainly on creating and promoting specialist songs and productions on the English-speaking international market, aimed squarely at the pop- dance sound. Goal Songs is also a record label.
In the little free time he has, Quique tries to enjoy what he loves most of all: writing songs, producing, remixing and looking for new sounds and trends; in other words...“creating”.
Now, at the last quarter of 2011, “Quique Tejada” backs again to the music scene withhis first new production called “LEAVE ME ALONE”, performed by the amazing female vocalist “Monica Guech”. This first work gets the international “pop-dance” sound mixed with a few strokes of the80 ´s and 90 ´s line melodies.
After that, “Quique Tejada” has prepared new and exciting productions that will be appearing over the next months with the label “Goal Songs”.
