Originally established in March 2009 as a college radio podcast and broadcasted live on a weekly campus radio station called, The Great Unknowns Presents. The show grew in popularity that expanded world wide with over 1 million downloads through 2012.
In 2011, the radio show went to No. 1 beating out the longest No. 1 running podcast the, "Adam Collora Show" on iTunes. The Great Unknowns Presents recorded 37,137 downloads inside of one month.
On April 12 2012, the podcast went from podcast to full-time radio station as KGUP 106.5FM "The Emerge Radio Networks", a fully licensed alternative-mainstream radio station featuring only the finest emerging independent music artists.
