Dark End by Sentinel
Lyrics
It stings, that cold look from your eyes that you've been sending me all night.
This scene just doesn't suit me right; I think I'll take to my leave.
I'll leave you credit where it's due; when boy, you came through.
And so it seems that silence don't suit me; I just can't be with me.
Don't shine into the dark end; 'cause your brittle heart will weigh like an anchor.
I've searched through him for something like, what you've been giving the whole time.
Consciously invest in you and me; we'll work through things, you'll see...
Don't shine into the dark end; 'cause your brittle heart will weigh like an anchor.
About the artist
Sentinel is an indie-pop three piece based out of Oakland, CA. The seeds of this sunny-seaside-dream pop began when Tarabud & Dennis, and Billy joined forces. Their visions of Cocteau Twins/Smith/U2/My Bloody Valentine/Cure have influenced their desire to move and transport listeners. The following series of albums were self released by the band: Sentinel (self-titled)-2004, The Singles-2005, Sequels & Hunches E.P. - 2007, Kites Without Strings -2008, For Days Deep - 2010, Jet Black Single and Dark End Singles 2011. Their entire catalog of albums and singles can be bought and downloaded on CDBaby & iTunes. Find them on various social media networks!
Liner notes
Dark End is the new light in our dream pop magic, written with the sensibility of our three piece in perfect symmetry. As we awaken into this new century of sounds and destruction, it's the music that carries us forward and beyond all limitations. (Billy Mowery on drums, Dennis Bestafka on guitars, and Tarabud on bass & vocals. Drums recorded at PopSmear Studios, in San Rafael, CA. Mixed and Mastered in Oakland, CA, home studio, by Dennis Bestafka.)
