MICHAEL DIMITRI

A world class vocalist, musician, composer, songwriter, performer and actor. Michael has been very fortunate to have shared the spotlight with some of the World’s most talented and successful artists, Wilson Pickett and Sam & Dave to name a few.

Aside from the his hit in Canada ‘Don’t Give Up’ with his band Double Talk, Michael was also Musical Director and cast member on the television show 'Something Else' for Global TV.

Michael also starred in three Rock & Roll Musicals,in the UK ‘Good Rockin’Tonite’where his portrayal of legendary bad boy rocker‘Gene Vincent’ brought him critical and public acclaim, as did his voice of the man eating ‘Plant’ in ‘The little Shop Of Horror’s. But it was his amazing transformation into the King himself in ‘Elvis The Musical’ that endeared him to the ears, hearts and minds of audiences throughout Europe.
His dance hit there ‘Thank God For The Weekend’ was a club favorite and at the same time Michael also scored a hit on the Classical charts with his version of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ recorded at Abbey Road Studios with the London Philharmonic

Michael's CD‘This is Me’, shows the public his diversity not only in style but in substance.

One Critic said 'Its like James Taylor meeting the Boss, The Outlaws and Sam Cook at the 'Crossroads' on their way to Motown'. The song‘Where Did It All Go Wrong' made it to number thirteen on Neil Young’s list‘Songs of Our Times’.‘Let Freedom Ring’ was used by the ‘Time Warner Group’ as a soundtrack to their broadcast production of the tragic events of 9/11. The Title track‘This Is Me’ was on maximum play rotation and charted in the top ten on over two hundred internet radio stations.

Michael is back in the States these days and living in Ft Worth. He is writing and is hoping to release his next CD. He is also involved in many new exciting projects including a long awaited collaboration with friend and Drummer Pete Thompson (Robert Plant, Robin Trower) They are currently writing together
