Now I'm Back And Here by mkjdp-project
Lyrics
Now I’m Back And Here
I saw the places
Know all the faces
But now I've left them
Don’t know what happened
But now I’m back, I’m here
But now I’m back and I’m here!
I made a journey
There I felt so free
But there are memories
Of all my friendships
But now I’m back, I’m here
But now I’m back and I’m here!
I was a soldier
Now I am older
I have seen so much
Sometimes with a bad touch
But now I’m back, I’m here
But now I’m back and I’m here!
I missed my mother
Thought about my brother
I remember the meetings
Where we spoke about good things
But now I’m back, I’m here
But now I’m back and I’m here!
About the artist
The guys behind the mkjdp-project are
Matt Kraemer, a prolific songwriter and an oustanding singer writes songs as well as in German as in English language. Normaly he prefers (and he loves!) the “classical style” of songwriting, which means most (but not all!) of his songs and melodies are based on acoustic guitar. Almost his complete songwork is about love, peace, development of the individual, but even romance shouldn’t come off badly in his music - and in his life!
Joe Dietz is a composer / songwriter / arranger and a prolific musician playing primarily piano and keyboards. From an early age he was educated in classical music, but soon he contracted a passion for the wide range of modern music. Now, he has written a lot of several musical stuff in his life and he arranged and played a lot of music for other artists. 2003 he published a primer for young musicians who want to study modern improvisation in jazz. Actually one of his favorite things to compose and arrange is film music.
Awards: Joe’s got a “Runner Up” Award of the “Song of the Year Song and Lyric Competition” 2006, an “Honor Award” of “The Great American Song Contest” 2008 and a “Collective Works Song Writing Award” of “Song of the Year Songwriting contest” 2010
Liner notes
A rock ballad telling of somebody, who was about to leave forever but fortunately he has found the way back home. Being mad with joy he let the choir sing at the ending part of the song: “And now I’m back and I’m here!” - A dramatic guitar!
