About the artist

Intended Creation is a solo project by Christa Golding, and the forthcoming Ep "Awake" is an exploration in genre and style, instrumentation and improvisation, expectation, and the element of chance. Christa has been active in the club and concert scene in Toronto since 2008, and Intended Creation has been featured in online magazines, blogs and radio shows including Rockwired Online Radio, Pens Eye View, ThatChannel.com, Toronto Exclusive Magazine, and Radio UK International Showcase Hour, and the Ep "Awake" has been in rotation on independent radio including Radio Crystal Blue, the Songwriters Network, Rukus Radio, Westside Will, and the Dave and Chuck Show. "Awake" (to be released in April of 2011) was recorded at home, (and various "acoustic friendly" spaces) using the Roland Micro Br, a preamp and a microphone. It was mixed and mastered by Kaylub Hyde for Eardrumvalley Community in Vancouver and features Mark Healy (sax), Rain Willow (cello), Elke Eble (french horn), and Michael Franklin (keyless wooden flute). The Ep has recently received fantastic reviews from Skope Entertainment, and NeuFutur Magazine, and Music Emissions, and the first video "Sylvia" (directed by Conall Pendergast and filmed by Martin-Andre Young is now online - check it out!
