Liner notes
The song is based on a 9-beat pattern derived from Indian Classical and we've added a latin-style "Clave" structure. Then we have both Indian and western instrumentalists solo over the form.
The meaning of the Title is: "DDA" - we statyed in the "DDA Flats" neighborhood in Delhi. "Flat Nine" also refers to the presence of the flatted 9th note in the rag. The rag is Bhairagi (C Db F G Bb C).
