Happy Without You by Exit 22
Lyrics
HAPPY WITHOUT YOU
Maggie Salamone/Chris Calamera
Sitting on my bed with you I’m waiting, hoping for some
Assurance that you love me but there is none
I am leaving, you are pleading, dying inside
I have to go, don’t worry, this is not goodbye
I’ll find you if I ever need a reason to be sad
I’m through, I’ll find a way to be happy without you
We go through this every night, it’s your fault, my fault this time
I’m tired of all the fighting, we’re just not right
I am leaving, you are pleading, screaming my name
I have to go, don’t worry, I’ll come back some day
I’ll find you if I ever need a reason to be sad
I’m through, I’ll find a way to be happy without you
Find you, if I ever need a reason to cry all night
I’m through, I’ll find a way to be happy without you
It’s hard to walk away from you
Even though I know that I am better off alone
Without you
Happy without you (Happy without you)
Happy without you (Happy without you)
Happy without you (Happy without you)
Happy without you (Happy without you)
I’ll find you if I ever need a reason to be sad
I’m through, I’ll find a way to be happy without you
Find you, if I ever need a reason to cry all night
I’m through, I’ll find a way to be happy without you
Happy without you
Happy without you

"If You Call, I Will Run..."
- Exit 22’s Self-Titled Release Hits With Full Force -
"If You Call, I Will Run..." - The commanding vocals from Exit 22’s lead single "If You Call" provides the perfect backdrop for their new self-titled CD, released through Awkward Silence Records in New York City. Raw, edgy vocals combined with smart, sophisticated songwriting highlight the 15-track collection from this Acoustic/Pop/Rock group based out of New York. With the success of their first big single "Naked (With A Memory)" permeating through the local airwaves from a national "Radio Star" contest, Exit 22 used the combined songwriting forces of members Maggie Salamone and Chris Calamera to generate a more powerful, in-your-face pop sound similar to "Pat Benatar meets the Goo Goo Dolls" and "Kelly Clarkson meets Matchbox Twenty". An impressive combination of harder-hitting rock tracks and delicate, intimate numbers were brought together for this 15-song collection, providing a brilliant landscape of Exit 22’s songwriting capabilities and pop sensibility. Included in this collection is an all-acoustic version of "Follow Me Up", a track which the duet was famous for in their earlier collegiate years.
After riding the success of their previous project (which came from the placement of their lead single "Day's End" into an independent film from Boston, MA), Exit 22 shifted gears and took on the challenging task of creating edgier, yet more sophisticated tracks to surround their previous accomplishments. With that in mind, Exit 22’s songwriting team poured out heavy hitters like the perennial radio smash "If You Call” (featuring the talents of vocalist Rob Pfeffer), along with their beautifully melodic follow-up single "Happy Without You". To complement these tracks, Exit 22 sat down and constructed "Maybe I", an all-acoustic masterpiece which is the most mature and intimate track the group has ever put together. Mature, powerful vocals combined with beautiful guitars and a mesmerizing lyrical message have come together to complete this amazing track and round out Exit 22’s self-titled collection with pristine excellence.
Exit 22’s self-titled collection guarantees to hit the airwaves with full force and provide a listening experience like none other. The group's release will leave you breathless and begging for more of their talented radio sound.
